Who we are

eFoil Truckee (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates efoiltruckee.com and provides electric hydrofoil lessons, rentals, and Waydoo eFoil sales based in Truckee, California. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Booking and inquiry details — name, email, phone number, preferred date/time, party size, rider experience, and anything you tell us in the message field when you book a lesson, rental, or product inquiry.
Purchase information — billing details processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Account information — staff accounts only. We do not offer customer accounts at this time.
Analytics data — if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymized page views, referrer, approximate location (city level), device type, and session duration to help us understand site usage.
Communications — if you email or text us, we keep that correspondence for service history.

How we use your information

Schedule and run your lesson, rental, or demo.
Send booking confirmations, reminders, weather updates, and follow-ups.
Process payments and issue receipts or refunds.
Respond to questions about Waydoo eFoil products, trade-ins, and service.
Improve the site and our coaching curriculum.
Comply with legal obligations (tax records, liability waivers, safety reporting).

Third parties we share with

Hosting and database — our site and booking data are hosted on Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase).
Payment processing — a PCI-compliant third-party processor handles card transactions.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (only if you accept analytics cookies).
Email/SMS delivery — transactional messages may be sent via email and SMS providers.
Waydoo and authorized service partners — only when needed to fulfill warranty or service requests tied to a product you purchased.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic. The first time you visit, you can accept or decline analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (e.g., to keep you signed in to the admin area) are always set.

Data retention

Booking and transaction records are retained for at least 7 years for tax and liability purposes. General inquiries are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted unless they tie to an active customer relationship. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics 4 defaults (14 months).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@efoiltruckee.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Riders under 18 require a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver in person.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS, row-level database security, restricted admin access) to protect your information. No internet transmission is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password for your account if you have staff access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
